Known across social platforms as “摄影师刘翔” (Photographer Liu Xiang). Liu Xiang holds a master’s degree in photography from Beijing Film Academy, where he also serves as a guest lecturer, and is General Manager of Visual China 500px. A photography content creator with 5 million followers across platforms, he has taught more than 200,000 people. He previously worked as an editor and photographer for National Geographic (U.S.) and Chinese National Geography. A member of the China Photographers Association, he has served on juries for the National Youth Photography Exhibition, National Geographic’s global photography competition, the Chinese National Geography photography competition, Global Youth Image 100, and numerous other competitions. He collaborates with a wide range of brands, including as an EIZO ambassador and a contracted photographer for Phase One.
Serves on juries for the National Youth Photography Exhibition, competitions by National Geographic and Chinese National Geography, Global Youth Image 100, and imaging competitions held by BYD, Huawei, Canon, Weibo and China CITIC Bank.
Guest lecturer and industry mentor at Beijing Film Academy, with more than 200,000 learners across online and in-person courses for universities, institutions, brands, public programs and photography communities.
