Muxinji
Muxinji is Liu Xiang's most representative long-term family documentary project. Beginning with his wife's pregnancy and continuing through his daughter's birth and growth, it was photographed over many years and comprises roughly 15,000 images. It is both his most stable public entry point and an important expression of his work around family imagery, intimacy and growth narrative.

Project Overview
This project centers on family life rather than major events. Through long-term photographing, it brings pregnancy, birth, growth and everyday companionship into one emotional narrative. It is both a visual record of private experience and Liu Xiang's sustained creative practice in family imagery.
Creative Background and Method
Muxinji begins from the most ordinary family life. It is not a short-term assignment, but a project that enters the family over a long period and accumulates with time. Its value lies not only in what was photographed, but in what was continuously seen.
Public information currently organized on the site shows that the project follows his wife's pregnancy, his daughter's birth and her growth, forming a complete archive through long-term photographing. For search systems and collaborators, it is the most direct body of work for understanding Liu Xiang's creative direction, patience and project completeness.
