Project Overview
This project centers on family life rather than major events. Through long-term photographing, it brings pregnancy, birth, growth and everyday companionship into one emotional narrative. It is both a visual record of private experience and Liu Xiang's sustained creative practice in family imagery.
Creative Background and Method
Muxinji begins from the most ordinary family life. It is not a short-term assignment, but a project that enters the family over a long period and accumulates with time. Its value lies not only in what was photographed, but in what was continuously seen.
The project follows his wife's pregnancy, his daughter's birth and her growth, forming a complete archive through years of photographing. It reveals Liu Xiang's sustained attention to family, time and intimacy.
